Parque Nacional Pan de Azucar, Chile - Day 2

On the second day we explored the park and its beauty. A part from the beautiful landscape, this park is also influenced by the Humboldt's current. This is a cold ocean current that runs along part of South America (Chile and Peru) which is the perfect habitat for animals like penguins and sealions. The result: Parque Nacional Pan de Azucar is not only where the sea meets the desert, but also where the penguims meet the desert!!! A surreal scenario.

On the way back, some car problems (the first of many on this trip) almost left us stuck in the middle of the desert. But as usual, everything went alright at the end and we followed our route to Atacama, for more surreal landscapes...
